Is there really a free plan?
Yes — a free event with 60 photo & video uploads and a 30-day album, free forever. No card required. You only pay when you want unlimited uploads, longer retention, or live features.
Do my guests need to download an app?
Never. Guests scan a QR code or tap a link and it opens straight in their browser — no install, no signup. That's the whole point.
Is it a subscription?
No — Gathmo is one-time per event. You pay once for the plan you choose, keep the album for its retention window, and there's nothing recurring to cancel.
Can I keep my photos after the event?
Yes. Download every original during the album's retention period. Paid plans keep albums for 90 days, six months, or one year, and you can re-download as often as you like during that window.
Where is my data stored?
On servers in Phoenix, Arizona, with media on Cloudflare. The operator is a German company, so the GDPR governs the processing — consent, export and erasure are built in.
What if a guest uploads something I don't want?
You stay in control. With moderation on, nothing appears in the album until you approve it — and you can remove anything at any time.
