The ceiling is a fact, not an estimate

Even if every single upload arrived at the maximum allowed size — 25 MB per photo, 9600 MB per video, 50 MB per voice message — this event could not exceed 777.3 GB. That is enforced, not assumed.

Most storage estimates are guesses. This one has a floor and a lid.

Nobody can tell you how big your guests’ photos will be. What we can tell you is the most they are allowed to be, because Gathmo enforces a size cap per file at upload and checks it again against the stored object. So instead of a made-up average, you get a real upper bound — and you can drag the sliders down to whatever you actually expect.

Questions about event storage

It depends on your guests, and anyone quoting a precise average is guessing. Use the guest count and per-guest fields to model your own event, then check the result against the plan sizes rather than against someone else’s number.

Uploads stop rather than silently overwriting anything. Moving up a plan raises the limit; the calculator shows the smallest plan that covers what you modelled.

No, and that is deliberate. Each plan states a retention period, shown with the recommendation above. Download the originals before it ends and you keep them regardless.

They dominate the total once guests send more than a clip or two, which is why the video slider moves in larger steps. If you only expect a handful, set videos per guest to zero and watch the figure drop.
