A year of storage, even on the free plan

Wedibox keeps the gallery for a year after the event on every plan, and that includes the free one. Gathmo's free tier holds 30 days and Essential holds 90. So their free plan outlasts our first paid one, and only our top plan matches what they give away. If you want the photos to still be there next summer without thinking about it, they have made that the default and we have not.

It is the whole wedding, not just the album

RSVP with meal choices and plus-ones, a live seating chart, a shared music playlist, registry links, a wedding website, and a widget that drops the gallery into a site you already built on Wix, Squarespace, The Knot, Zola or Minted. Gathmo does none of this and is not going to. If you would rather buy one thing than four, that is a straightforward argument for Wedibox, and it has nothing to do with how either product handles photos.

The voices are not an upgrade

Gathmo records voice messages in the browser on every plan — including the free one — and puts them in the same album as the photos, on one timeline.

Wedibox's audio guestbook is on the $49 Wedding plan and above. Below that there is none, and the free plan lists photo uploads only, so the two cheapest ways in do not capture a spoken word.

Someone approves the wall

On every paid Gathmo plan the hosts approve each photo and message before it reaches the screen at the venue. A person says yes, not a filter.

Wedibox's pricing page describes no moderation or approval step. That is not the same as saying it has none — their site simply does not mention it, so we cannot tell you what happens when something you would rather not show arrives during the slideshow.

One album, or one platform

Gathmo is the album and nothing else: what guests send, in one place, with the voices beside the pictures and transcripts at the top plan.

Wedibox is the wedding: the website, the RSVP list, the seating chart, the playlist, the registry — and the gallery as one part of it. Neither shape is better in the abstract. It depends on whether you have already solved the rest.

On guest media the split is narrow — both take unlimited uploads on paid plans and both open in a browser — except that Gathmo records voice on every plan including the free one, while Wedibox's audio guestbook starts at $49, and Gathmo lets the hosts approve what reaches the screen.

Does Wedibox have an audio guestbook?

Yes, from the $49 Wedding plan upward, and it is a real one. It is not in the free plan and not in the $29 Embed plan, both of which list photos and video only. Gathmo records voice messages on every plan, including the free tier.

How long is everything kept?

Wedibox stores the gallery for a year after the event on every plan, including the free one. Gathmo keeps the album online 90 days on Essential, six months on Celebrate and a year on Grand, with 30 days on the free tier. This is the row where Wedibox is clearly ahead below our top plan.

Is Gathmo or Wedibox cheaper?

Wedibox is $0, $29, $49 or $79 one-time, in USD. Gathmo's paid plans are also one-time per event and appear in your own currency in the pricing table on this page, with a free tier that takes 20 photos, videos or voice notes. Which is cheaper depends on what you need: if you want RSVP and seating too, $79 buys four tools at once.

Can I approve photos before they appear at the party?

With Gathmo, yes, on every paid plan: each photo and message waits for a host's approval before it reaches the screen. Wedibox's pricing page describes no approval step, checked 21 August 2026 — we are not saying it has none, only that they do not say it does.

Do we still need a wedding website if we use Gathmo?

If you want one, yes — Gathmo does not build websites, and Wedibox includes one from $49. Gathmo gives you an album and sign templates with a QR code; where you publish the details of the day is up to you.
