Picbook alternative: Gathmo vs Picbook
Gathmo is the better choice if voice messages, approval before display and a clearly stated 20-item free tier matter more; Picbook is stronger if a €19 photo-and-video plan with LIVE TV and print-ready QR graphics fits your event. Both let guests upload in the browser without an app or account. Gathmo wrote this comparison and states where Picbook wins.

Choose Gathmo for voice, moderation and longer access; Picbook for a compact €19 LIVE TV package
Picbook is a Spanish browser QR album for photos, video and written dedications. Its public paid plans cost €19 Plus, €29 Pro and €49 Full once per event. Plus allows 500 photo/video items, 7 upload days and 1 month of storage; Pro allows 1,000 items, 20 days and 2 months; Full lists unlimited storage, 30 upload days and 2 months. Every listed paid plan includes ZIP download, print-ready QR graphics and LIVE TV.
Gathmo also accepts guest photos and video in the browser without an app or registration, and adds recorded voice messages in the same album; the Android organizer app is optional. Free covers 20 items for 30 days. Paid plans remove the item-count cap and run 90, 183 or 365 days, with prices shown below in your currency. Choose it when voice, pre-display approval and longer access matter more than Picbook's lower published EUR entry.

Try it on your own event
When Picbook is the better choice
Picbook has real advantages for Spanish-speaking events that only need photos, video and written messages.
LIVE TV starts on the €19 Plus plan
Picbook lists its customizable LIVE TV gallery, print-ready QR graphics, guest names and written dedications on Plus for €19 once. Gathmo's live wall starts on a higher paid tier, so Picbook is the clearer budget choice when the screen is central and voice is not needed.
Its event windows are short but explicit
Plus, Pro and Full publish 7, 20 and 30 upload days. That can suit a host who wants contributions to close soon after the event instead of keeping the album open for months.
4 practical reasons to choose Gathmo
Voice sits beside the photos
Guests can record voice messages in the same browser flow as photos and video.
Picbook documents photos, video and written dedications; voice recording was not listed on the reviewed pages.
A quantified free event
Gathmo Free publishes 20 mixed items and 30 days, so the test boundary is clear before signup.
Picbook's FAQ and terms mention Free services, but its public pricing page does not list Free limits.
Approval before the screen
Selected paid plans can hold each upload for host approval before it reaches the live wall.
Item-by-item pre-display approval was not documented on Picbook's reviewed public pages.
Longer published album access
Gathmo publishes 30 days free and 90, 183 or 365 days on paid plans.
Picbook publishes 1 month on Plus and 2 months on Pro and Full after the event.
Gathmo publishes this comparison and Gathmo is our product. Picbook facts were checked on official Spanish pages on 30 August 2026. Two independent wedding-forum discussions from 2024–2025 describe Picbook's no-app flow and €19 entry, but they are anecdotes, not a representative review score. Picbook and readers can report an error or anything out of date through Gathmo's contact page. Picbook pricing reflects publicly listed plans at the time of writing — check its site for current rates.

Moving from Picbook to Gathmo
Check the Picbook deadline
Confirm whether your album is Plus, Pro or Full and note its 7-, 20- or 30-day upload window plus the 1- or 2-month storage deadline.
Download before storage ends
Download files individually on Picbook Free or use the paid ZIP download. Keep a separate local copy before the published retention period ends.
Test a free Gathmo event
Scan from a second phone and add 1 photo, 1 video and 1 voice note. The 20-item free tier needs no card.
Move files, not event settings
Media can be uploaded again, but Picbook colors, guest-name fields, written dedications and LIVE TV settings do not migrate automatically.
