Two things voxu does that Gathmo does not. If either is what your day turns on, buy voxu — you will be happier with it, and we would rather say so here than have you find out afterwards.

No expiry on the recordings

voxu states the messages stay reachable in the voxu dashboard after the inbox closes, and are downloadable forever. Gathmo albums come down after 90 days on Essential, six months on Celebrate and one year on Grand — everything downloads at original quality before that, but the page itself does go. If you want the album to sit online indefinitely without you having to save anything, voxu is the stronger of the two.

A greeting in your own voice

On voxu Pro the couple records up to five voicemail greetings and writes a custom intro, so a guest hears you before they speak. Gathmo has no equivalent — a guest scans and records, with your written words on the page but not your voice. If that opening moment is the point of the guest book for you, voxu does it and we do not.

What changes is not only the figures but the meter. voxu prices per wedding in pounds — the same figures wherever you are — and counts recordings: £49 for Basic caps guests at 100 voice notes and gives you one profile picture and one greeting; £89 for Pro lifts the cap and adds five pictures, five greetings, a custom intro and page theming. Gathmo prices per event and meters the album instead: every paid plan takes unlimited photos, videos and voice notes, and the plan decides storage, clip length, the screen at the venue and how long the album stays online. voxu states the messages stay reachable in its dashboard with no expiry, so nothing is on a clock — but download them anyway and keep the files. That archive is yours regardless of what you use next.

Name, date, done — about two minutes, no card. The free tier takes 60 photos, videos or voice notes, which is enough to try the guest flow on your own phone before you commit to anything.
Print the code
The sign studio has four templates, your own wording, and a 300-dpi PDF. If voxu cards are already printed, put both out — they do not interfere, guests scan whatever is in front of them, and you keep every message either way.
The old recordings stay at voxu
There is no import, and we would rather say so here than let you find out later. Gathmo records voice in the browser and accepts photo and video files for upload, not audio files — so the voxu recordings cannot be moved into a Gathmo album. Keep the download from step 1 as its own archive.
