Guestlense prints and ships: 30 QR cards on the $99 plan, and on the $199 plan 50 polaroid-style prints of the photos your guests actually uploaded, delivered worldwide at no extra shipping cost. Gathmo gives you a 300-dpi PDF and you find a printer. If you would rather not organise that, and you like the idea of prints arriving after the wedding, they do it and we do not.

A year of gallery, at the entry price

Every Guestlense plan keeps the gallery reachable for 12 months from the event date, including the $49 one. Gathmo's Essential is 90 days. We match and beat that on Celebrate and Grand, but at the cheapest paid tier they hold the album online four times longer than we do.

The voices

Gathmo records voice messages in the browser — on every plan, including the free one — and puts them in the same album as the photos, on the same timeline.

Guestlense collects photos and videos, with captions guests can type. There is no voice option on any of its three plans, so the spoken part of the day is not something it can keep for you.

Who decides what appears

On every paid Gathmo plan the hosts approve each photo and message before it reaches the screen at the venue. It is a person saying yes, not a rule.

Guestlense filters explicit uploads automatically. That catches the thing everyone worries about, and it is genuinely useful — but it is not the same as being able to hold back a photo that is merely unflattering, or a joke that lands differently on a big screen.

Gathmo's free tier takes 60 photos, videos or voice notes: enough to print a code, scan it yourself and hear a recorded message come back before any money moves.

Guestlense publishes no free plan. The cheapest way to see what your guests will see is the $49 plan, which means deciding on the strength of the marketing site.

What is the difference between Gathmo and Guestlense?

Both are QR guestbooks guests open on their own phone, both take unlimited photos and videos, and neither needs an app. Gathmo also records voice messages and has a free tier; Guestlense collects photos and videos only and starts at $49. Guestlense prints and ships QR cards and, on its top plan, polaroid prints — which Gathmo does not do at all.

Does Guestlense have an audio guestbook?

No. Guestlense lists photos and videos with typed captions, and no voice or audio option appears on its site, checked 20 August 2026. If you want a spoken message from each guest, Gathmo does it on every plan and Guestlense does not.

How long do guests have to upload?

Guestlense gives a 3-month upload period on all three plans, counted from the event date, while the gallery itself stays reachable for 12 months. With Gathmo the album accepts uploads for as long as it is online: 90 days on Essential, six months on Celebrate, one year on Grand.

Is Gathmo or Guestlense cheaper?

Guestlense is $49, $99 and $199, one-time in USD, with no free plan — and the two dearer plans are paying for printed cards and photo prints rather than more software. Gathmo's paid plans are also one-time per event, appear in your currency in the pricing table on this page, and there is a free tier to try first.

Can I approve photos before they appear at the party?

With Gathmo, yes, on every paid plan: each photo and message waits for a host's approval before it reaches the screen. Guestlense screens explicit uploads automatically, which is not the same thing — it catches the obvious, but nothing waits for a person to say yes.

Do guests need an app for Gathmo or Guestlense?

Neither. Both open in the phone browser after a QR scan, with no install and no guest account on either side.
