Wedding checklist

There is no single right answer, which is why this list rescales instead of insisting on twelve months. What determines the honest starting point is your venue and the popularity of your date — a Saturday in June books out far earlier than a Thursday in February. It is done all the time, and the tool will show you exactly what it means: the same steps, each with a much shorter window. What actually gets tight is the things other people control — the venue, the officiant, the photographer and any legal waiting period. Do those first and the rest follows.

Because the order is the only part that is not a convention. Invitations depend on a confirmed date and place; the seating depends on the replies; final numbers for catering depend on the seating. Compressing shortens each window but cannot reorder a chain of dependencies without breaking it.
