A refund promise you can read

Kululu publishes a Fair Refund Policy: if you end up not using it at your event, for whatever reason, you get your money back — and that promise reads the same wherever the buyer lives. Gathmo publishes no refund policy of its own. What you can claim from us depends on where you buy from, and none of it is written on the pricing page. If you want the promise in plain sight before you pay, theirs is in plain sight and ours is not.

The photo wall is not tied to a plan

Kululu lists its Live Photo Wall with no plan attached, so nothing on its pricing page says you must buy upward to put the slideshow on a screen. With Gathmo that line is explicit: the venue screen starts at Celebrate. If the wall is the part of the evening you care about most and you want the smallest purchase that includes it, their pages make the more generous promise — read them and hold them to it.

Nobody counts the uploads

Gathmo takes unlimited photos, videos and voice notes on every paid plan. Nobody has to be told to stop, and nothing is turned away at the end of the night.

Kululu stops at 50 uploads on Free and 500 on Plus. At a wedding with 100 guests, 500 is five photos each — and unlimited only arrives on the $199 plan.

Two clocks, not one

With Gathmo there is one window: the album is open for uploads for as long as it is online, which is 90 days to a year depending on plan.

Kululu runs a separate, shorter clock for uploading, and it does not follow the storage window. A Free event closes 24 hours after the event date and Plus after a month — so a guest who finds the QR card in their coat a week later cannot upload at all, even though the photos are still stored.

The voices

Gathmo records voice messages in the browser and puts them in the same album as the photos — the toast nobody filmed, the message from someone who could not come.

Kululu has no voice option on any plan. Photos and videos only.

What is the difference between Gathmo and Kululu?

Both are QR photo galleries guests open on their own phone, and both run a live wall at the venue. Kululu meters two things Gathmo does not — how many uploads you get (50 on Free, 500 on Plus) and how long the event stays open for uploading (24 hours to three months from the event date). Gathmo takes unlimited uploads on every paid plan, keeps the album open as long as it is online, and records voice messages. Kululu offers no voice option.

Does Kululu have an audio guestbook?

No. Kululu lists photos and videos only, and no voice or audio option appears on its pricing page or homepage, checked 20 August 2026. If you want a spoken message from each guest, Gathmo does it and Kululu does not.

How many photos can guests upload to Kululu?

50 on the Free plan and 500 on Plus; only the Pro plan at $199 list is unlimited. At a wedding with 100 guests, 500 uploads is five each. Gathmo takes unlimited photos, videos and voice notes on every paid plan.

How long do guests have to upload?

With Kululu the event closes 24 hours after the event date on Free, one month on Plus and three on Pro — separately from how long the files are stored. With Gathmo the album accepts uploads for as long as it is online: 90 days on Essential, six months on Celebrate, one year on Grand.

Is Gathmo or Kululu cheaper?

Kululu's list prices are $79 for Plus and $199 for Pro, one-time in USD; its site was showing a 50% limited-time discount when we checked. Gathmo's paid plans are also one-time per event and appear in your currency in the pricing table on this page, with a free tier to try first.

Do guests need an app for Gathmo or Kululu?

Neither. Both open in the phone browser after a QR scan, with no install and no guest account on either side.
